Clinical Intern Mentor &
Outpatient Psychotherapist in Chapel Hill

Pronouns: she/her/hers

I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (A15514), Nationally Certified Counselor (1232593) and an Outpatient Psychotherapist at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness in Chapel Hill. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Barnard College and my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from North Carolina Central University.

My approach to therapy begins with developing a strong rapport with the client. I work to develop a trusting therapeutic relationship through compassion, empathy and support. You can expect a laid-back, nonjudgmental environment – perhaps even a bit of humor.

I am trained in SAFE EMDR (Somatic and Attachment Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and also pull from other modalities such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Mindfulness plays a large role in my work; learning to observe and accept the present moment can be vital to regulating emotions and decreasing stress.

I enjoy working with clients who are experiencing mood disorders, social anxiety, as well as issues pertaining to self-esteem, relationships and life transitions.  I am LGBTQIA+ friendly and work with teens & adults. Seeking therapy is a sign of strength that should be appreciated as such. I view the client-therapist relationship as a collaborative one; I will work with you to help access your inner strengths in order to heal, grow and live the life you want to live.
