Amanda Mohan (she/her), MSW, LCSWA

Site Supervisor, Outpatient Psychotherapist in Midtown

Works with ages 13+

Hi! My name is Amanda Mohan (she/her) and I am an Outpatient Psychotherapist at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness in Midtown. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology from NC State University (Go Pack!) and my Master of Social Work degree from East Carolina University. I am a second-generation Latina and am bilingual in both English and Spanish.

I enjoy working with children, families, teens, and adults of all ages. I work well with anyone struggling with processing trauma and grief, attachment and relationship concerns, life transitions, and stress, as well as those struggling with symptoms of mental illness (depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and OCD). I also have a strong passion for working with neurodivergent individuals particularly those with autism spectrum disorder and ADHD. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming and welcome those of all cultural and racial backgrounds.

I utilize various interventions including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Strengths Based Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and mindfulness approaches.

Seeking therapy can be intimidating so my goal is to create a safe compassionate therapeutic space where I can help empower my clients. I view therapy as a collaboration between therapist and client and want to create a space where we can work together to focus on your goals, helping you see your strengths and resilience. It's my goal to make sure you feel supported, safe, and understood while working through any of life’s struggles.

In my free time I enjoy cooking, gardening, traveling, staying active (I’ve recently gotten into the pickleball craze), and spending time with my friends and family which includes my 2 dogs, a yorkie poo and a blue heeler.
