Dr. Melissa Senior (she/her) is a Licensed Psychologist (#5588) at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness. She conducts comprehensive psychological assessments and is an outpatient psychotherapist. Melissa earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from North Carolina State University (Go Wolfpack!), a Masters of Rehabilitation Counseling and Psychology, and her Doctorate of School Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Melissa has over ten years of experience in completing comprehensive psychological evaluations for children, adolescents, and young adults. She developed a unique point of view on how schools, parents, and therapists can work most effectively together due to hands-on years of experience in both school systems and private practice. Each evaluation that Melissa completes is tailored to the unique referral questions to improve daily functioning and wellness. Melissa believes evaluations should be multifaceted to better understand one’s difficulties and strengths and identify evidence-based interventions and supports.
In therapy, Melissa works from a strengths-based and whole-child approach, emphasizing building resiliency through partnership and collaboration. Melissa informs her practice with cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), mindfulness practices, positive parenting strategies, and play-based techniques. She identifies and leverages strengths to personalize treatment to fit their individual needs.
Outside of Three Oaks, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and two beagles. She enjoys cheering on the Boston Bruins, all things Taylor Swift, and drinking coffee.

Hailey Perez (she/her), PhD, LP, HSP-P
Licensed Psychologist in Apex
Psychology is in my DNA! I have followed in the footsteps of my mother and grandmother, both of whom were psychologists. I am a Licensed Psychologist and Health Service Provider (#4777) who specializes in comprehensive evaluations for children ages 5 through 18. I have expertise in ADHD, anxiety, autism, developmental disorders, giftedness, intellectual and learning disabilities. Through comprehensive evaluations, I discover each child’s unique set of strengths and needs and empower parents with the knowledge to help their child grow emotionally, behaviorally and academically.
I received a B.A. in Psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill in 2004, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in School Psychology from NC State University in 2008 and 2012. I have worked in public schools for over 15 years and have extensive experience evaluating children and supporting families as they navigate neurodivergent learning and development. I specialize in psycho-educational evaluations, parent consultation and special education advocacy. I enjoy helping parents understand and navigate school-based supports and services including MTSS, IEPs and 504 plans.
When I am not in the office, I love exploring outside, refinishing vintage furniture and spending time with my husband and two young children.
