Outpatient Psychotherapist in South Durham

Works with ages 4+

Hi! My name is Brittany Greene (she/her) and I am an Outpatient therapist at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness at the South Durham location. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist. I am also a Nationally Certified Counselor and am in the process of becoming a Licensed School Counselor. I received my undergraduate degree from Winston-Salem State University in Elementary Education and my graduate degrees from North Carolina Central University with dual master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling. I also pursued additional coursework in Brainspotting.

I strive to create a welcoming and safe place for my clients where you can come where and how you are, and I will meet you there.  I also work to create a non-judgmental environment where clients can feel heard, validated, and can be vulnerable. I aim to create a positive, client-centered, holistic, and collaborative client-therapist relationship providing a climate where it is my goal to model and create a healthy relationship dynamic.

I primarily use Cognitive-Behavioral, Person-Centered, and positive therapeutic approaches. I work to also use an eclectic approach that incorporates many different therapeutic styles and interventions to best meet your needs. I also utilize a holistic approach to therapy that considers the impact of the systems in which an individual/family functions. My holistic style includes teaching how mind, body, and spirit connectedness is key to overall change and positive living.

Clientele that I serve are children, adolescents, and adults.  I am also willing to work with families. I specialize in working with clients presenting with numerous concerns such as mood disorders, anxiety disorders, OCD, life transitions, relationship issues, trauma, substance use, addictions, self-esteem, identity concerns, BIPOC concerns, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and academic, social-emotional, and behavioral concerns.

Outside of the counseling environment, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, binge watching shows on Netflix and Hulu, cheering on my favorite sports teams, traveling when I am able, and my favorite pastime of taking a cozy nap.
