Jillian is a Clinical Student Intern from Liberty University where she is in the process of earning her Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling degree. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2021 from Wingate University. During this time, she gained experience working with children on effective communication, social learning, and theory of mind.
Jillian has a passion for helping people. She has a special interest in helping children and young adults navigate areas of life such as attachment issues, emotion regulation, trauma, disordered eating, body image perception, and anxiety. While Jillian is interested in gaining experience in working with children and young adults, she also looks forward to working with individuals of all ages.
Beginning therapy can feel overwhelming and Jillian understands the bravery it takes to take these first steps. It is her priority to provide a warm and safe environment that nurtures openness and vulnerability. Jillian’s philosophy is to come as you are, but do not plan to stay as you are as counseling has the potential to lead to breakthrough in many areas of life.
She looks forward to getting to know you as an individual and developing a collaborative counseling experience while drawing from various evidence-based practices. Jillian is also passionate about spending time outdoors, reading, and family game nights.
