Kelly Tucci

Clinical Intern, North Carolina State University

Kelly Tucci (she/her) is a Clinical Mental Health Student Intern at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness. She is a student in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at North Carolina State University and currently holds her national certification and state licensure as a Recreational Therapist (LRT/CTRS). Prior to joining the team at Three Oaks, she got her masters in Recreational Therapy Administration and BS in Exercise Physiology from East Carolina University (Go Pirates!) and has experience working in both inpatient mental health and physical rehabilitation with individuals with a variety of diagnoses.

Kelly is committed to helping and empowering others to enhance their quality of life. Her approach to counseling is person-centered, trauma-informed, and holistic in nature and draws on therapeutic techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered therapy, and mindfulness. Her goal is to meet clients where they are and work collaboratively to help regulate emotions, cope with difficult situations, and process life experiences to achieve a more meaningful and present life.

She is passionate about supporting individuals experiencing challenges related to anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, self-esteem, and women’s health issues. Her hope is to provide a safe, judgment-free, and inclusive environment for you to begin your healing journey. She understands the courage it takes to reach out for help and is happy you are here!

In her free time, Kelly enjoys exploring all the Triangle has to offer with her family and rescue pup, Leo! She enjoys sampling coffee from one of the many local shops, listening to music, watching movies from the MCU, cooking, and taking every chance she can get to breathe in fresh mountain air and spend time outdoors.
