Macie (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist Associate. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and her Master of Social Work from East Carolina University. She strives to create a safe, non-judgmental, and validating environment that allows individuals to explore emotions, thoughts, and life stressors. She has experience working with teenagers and adults who are experiencing effects of childhood trauma, neurodivergence (ADHD/ASD),
depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and substance use disorders. Macie also has training and clinical interest in helping integrate psychedelic experiences for individuals who have been treated with Ketamine (Spravato), as well as their own individual recreational psychedelic experiences.

She utilizes an integrative, strength-based, and person-centered approach that incorporates aspects of cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical-behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness to facilitate a holistic approach to healing. She is also working towards certification in attachment somatic experiencing and internal family systems and will incorporate some of these concepts as well as she works towards certification.

Macie’s therapeutic style is authentic and holistic. She places high importance on the therapeutic relationship and building connections with clients. She is an LGBTQIA+ affirming, neuro-diverse affirming, and culturally aware therapist. She is passionate about working with clients who are eager to improve their lives and overall wellbeing and strives to help clients live more authentically and become more self-reliant.
