Meredith (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (C015123) and an Outpatient Psychotherapist at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness in South Durham. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from George Washington University and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Meredith believes therapy is rooted in each individual’s inherent capacity for growth. She prioritizes a collaborative therapeutic relationship in which clients are able to feel seen, valued, and understood. Meredith is committed to providing a space of acceptance, non-judgment, and self-exploration to support clients in addressing challenges and creating meaningful and fulfilling lives. She believes that clients are the experts on themselves and encourages them to be active participants in the therapeutic process. Meredith approaches therapy with an attitude of curiosity, facilitating clients’ exploration and understanding of their symptoms, interpersonal patterns, thought processes, and emotions.

Meredith works from a holistic and person-centered approach, drawing from a variety of treatment modalities to best meet the needs of each individual. Meredith is trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Therapeutic Writing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI), and mindfulness. She particularly enjoys working with college students and young adults, individuals struggling with OCD, and those experiencing challenges related to emotional intimacy, relationships, and life transitions. She is passionate about helping clients find a sense of safety and empowerment after experiencing trauma, as well as providing support to those experiencing anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders. She works with clients to enhance self-esteem and self-acceptance throughout the therapeutic process.

Meredith works with older teens and adults from all gender, cultural, racial, and religious backgrounds, and is LGBTQIA+ affirming. In her spare time, Meredith enjoys hiking, writing, playing soccer, and running with her dog, Quito.
