Meredith (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (C015123) and an Outpatient Psychotherapist at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness in South Durham. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from George Washington University and her Master of Social Work degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Meredith believes therapy is rooted in each individual’s inherent capacity for growth. She prioritizes a collaborative therapeutic relationship in which clients are able to feel seen, valued and understood. Meredith is committed to providing a space of acceptance, non-judgment and self-exploration to support clients in addressing their challenges and creating meaningful and fulfilling lives. She believes that clients are the experts on themselves & encourages them to be active participants in the therapeutic process. Meredith approaches therapy with an attitude of curiosity, facilitating clients’ exploration & understanding of their symptoms, interpersonal patterns, thought processes and emotions.

Meredith works from a holistic and person-centered approach, drawing from a variety of treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Family Systems Therapy, Motivational Interviewing (MI) and mindfulness. She particularly enjoys working with college students and young adults, as well as those experiencing challenges related to intimacy, relationships and life transitions. She is passionate about helping clients find a sense of safety & empowerment after experiencing trauma, and is also committed to providing support to those experiencing anxiety, depression and other mood disorders. She works with clients to enhance self-esteem and self-acceptance throughout the therapeutic process.

Meredith works with older teens & adults from all gender, cultural, racial and religious backgrounds, and is LGBTQIA+ affirming. In her spare time, Meredith enjoys hiking, writing, playing soccer and tennis & running with her dog, Quito.
