Susan’s clinical work has been with teens, adults, and seniors over 50 for the past seven years, working in community mental health in a variety of settings including group and individual therapy. She has experience working with mood disorders, attachment disorders, trauma, struggles with self-esteem, personality disorders, substance use, and severe mental illness. Susan works with teens, college students, and adults to create a therapeutic space free of judgment to help you learn to manage your thoughts and feelings and apply practices to your everyday life. Susan is passionate about helping others to work through parts of their human experience that have been difficult. Her passion for therapy comes from a desire to help others manage their stress, work through roadblocks, and bring insight to our strengths.
Susan works from a strength-based perspective to help clients learn more about themselves, in turn how to use their strengths to overcome difficult challenges and live a more fulfilling life. She believes that the more we know about ourselves, the more we can understand about how we respond to stress and triggers, which can lead to positive change and growth.
Knowing that each patient requires a nuanced approach to help, Susan informs her practice using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Susan offers strength-centered therapy, mindfulness and motivational interviewing with person-centered therapy to address
your specific needs.
Susan looks forward to connecting and working with you.
