Zydet (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (C016062) and an Outpatient Psychotherapist in East Raleigh. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Wilmington University, and her Master of Social Work degree from Fayetteville State University. She is a veteran of the United States Air Force with 7 years of military experience. Zydet has fulfilled the requirements to apply for the credential of Registered Play Therapist and is currently awaiting approval from the Association of Play Therapy board.

Zydet understands the importance of building rapport, trust, and comfortability with each client and family throughout the therapeutic process. She has experience working with children from the ages of birth to 10 years old struggling with adjustments, anxiety, ADHD, selective mutism, self-esteem, and emotion regulation. She also has experience working with parents/caregivers by providing parenting support through family and group work. Zydet has been trained in several play therapy modalities including child-centered play therapy (CCPT), child-parent relationship training (CPRT), FirstPlay, and Theraplay.

Zydet believes that children make sense of their world through play. As a therapist, she aims to help children express their feelings and cope with their experiences in a safe non-judgmental space. Zydet believes in working with parents/caregivers and their children in a collaborative therapeutic approach.

In her free time, Zydet enjoys reading, daily yoga practice, being in nature, baking, trying new foods, and spending time with family.
