It was during that time that she fell in love with service, teamwork, and genuine connections which led her to her current role as an Outpatient Therapist. Amanda believes the most important aspect of therapy is a safe space which she creates by using trauma-informed care and encouraging you to come as you are, all parts welcome. She is devoted to working with children (3+), adolescents, adults, and families to support the development of a positive and healthy view of oneself, thriving relationships, and better quality of life.
Amanda has extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), and Eco-Systemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT). She has experience with chronic and complex trauma, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, and relational issues within individual and family sessions. Additionally, Amanda has more than ten years prior experience in the community mental health system supporting clients and their identified support people in overcoming behavioral hardships, navigating relationships within foster/adoption families, exploring communication concerns, difficult life transitions, and problematic family patterns/relational issues.
In her free time, Amanda enjoys attending local festivals, spending time with her family, reading, and vacationing at the beach (her happy place).
Amanda looks forward to walking alongside you on your journey to becoming your most authentic and confident self.
