Benjamin "Ben" Edwards (He/Him), BSW
Clinical Intern, University of Denver
Hello! I am Ben Edwards and I am pleased to serve as a clinical intern at Three Oaks. I work with clients of all ages-children, adolescents, and adults-to identify and build upon their unique strengths, fostering resilience and hope throughout the therapeutic process.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Wartburg College, and I am currently completing my Master of Social Work at the University of Denver. Though new to clinical practice, I employ evidence-based approaches-Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Motivational Interviewing-that center on your goals and leverage the assets you already possess.
My areas of interest include anxiety, depression, ADHD, and self-esteem development. To enhance engagement and insight, I integrate creative modalities such as art, therapeutic games, and plant therapy, inviting you to explore growth through hands-on activities like gardening, pottery, and the occasional game of UNO!
In our sessions, I provide attentive, collaborative support as we explore your aspirations, address challenges, and co-create a roadmap for meaningful change. Outside of the office, I enjoy hiking and traveling with my three-year-old Goldendoodle, exploring the beauty of nature and the world around us.
I am deeply committed to partnering with you to cultivate the confidence and coping strategies necessary for a more fulfilling life. I look forward to working with you and growing together!
