Danielle D. Waite (she/her), LCMHC, CRC
Outpatient Psychotherapist in Midtown
Works with ages 18+
Hi. I'm so glad you're here. My name is Danielle Waite (she/her) and I am an outpatient psychotherapist in Raleigh. I am a licensed clinical mental health counselor and certified rehabilitation counselor. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and my Master of Science in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
I specialize in helping people struggling with low self-esteem, relationship challenges, anxiety, and perfectionism. I'm here to help you deepen your self-understanding so that you can live a more mindful, peaceful life. I assist clients in learning to identify and communicate healthy boundaries to improve both self-worth and the quality of their relationships. I believe that the quality of our relationships strongly contributes to our mental health; and I help clients to achieve more meaningful and compassionate connections with both themselves and others.
I use psychodynamic therapy to help clients explore how past experiences may impact current patterns of thinking and behaving. Using a compassion-focused lens, I encourage clients to use insight to facilitate positive change. Interpersonal psychotherapy and internal family systems also inform my approach to therapy, focusing on relationship to self and others.
I welcome people of all backgrounds and identities into the therapy space. If you are ready to improve your relationship with yourself and others, please reach out. I would be honored to walk alongside you during your journey.
