Marie Mills (she/her), MSW, LCSW
Clinical Supervisor & Outpatient Psychotherapist
Works with all ages
Hello! I’m Marie Mills, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (C012304) and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor–Qualified Supervisor (QS148612). I hold a B.S. in Psychology from Virginia Tech and a Master of Social Work from North Carolina State University.
For over a decade, I’ve been dedicated to helping individuals and families heal from intergenerational trauma and build more connected, fulfilling lives. I work with clients across the lifespan—from infants and parents to children, adolescents, and adults—because each stage of life offers meaningful opportunities for growth and change.
My clinical experience includes supporting families through reunification, working with children and adolescents in acute and residential treatment settings, and providing outpatient therapy for individuals impacted by trauma. I commonly help clients navigating anxiety, depression, complex and developmental trauma, pregnancy and infertility, parenting stress, relationship challenges, and self-esteem concerns.
I am trained in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Child–Parent Psychotherapy (CPP), Parent–Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also integrate existential approaches to help clients explore life transitions, meaning, and authenticity. My goal is to create a warm, collaborative space where you can strengthen resilience, reconnect with your values, and experience greater empowerment in your life.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with my family, exploring different cultures and cuisines, and spending time outdoors. I look forward to connecting with you and supporting your wellness journey!
