Tara believes the therapeutic process should be an authentic partnership aimed at supporting you in overcoming barriers preventing you from living the life you strive for. Tara is devoted to working with children, adolescents, and families to support the development of a safe environment conducive to growth and nourishment. She also recognizes the need to embrace and love your “inner-child” and works with adults across the age span who feel “stuck” in life.
When working with complex family dynamics, Tara believes the top therapeutic priority is to safeguard the child’s space. Tara works with parents to bridge barriers in communication and parenting styles to develop consistent expectations and boundaries across multiple households. Additionally, supports often include the development of any behavior plans needed, a focus on child autonomy/resiliency, and any necessary coping skills for managing the many challenges that may occur on a day-to-day basis. Tara has additional experience working with clients who are navigating any potential involvement in family law litigation, criminal law litigation, and/or CPS histories.
Tara informs her practice with Play Therapy modalities, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Family Centered Therapy. She has experience with trauma, mood disorders, neurodiversity, attachment disorders, and adjustment disorders working both individually with clients as well as in partnership with the family unit when appropriate. Additionally, Tara has prior experience in the public school system supporting children in overcoming behavioral hardships.
Tara looks forward to serving you as you embark on the journey to live as your most authentic
