Tara (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (P016485), Manager of the Child and Family Program, and an Outpatient Psychotherapist at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness in East Raleigh. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and received her Master of Social Work at North Carolina State University.
Tara believes the therapeutic process should be an authentic partnership aimed at supporting you in overcoming barriers preventing you from living the life you strive for. Tara is devoted to working with children, adolescents, and families to support the development of a safe environment conducive to growth and nourishment. She also recognizes the need to embrace and love your “inner-child” and works with adults across the age span who feel “stuck” in life.
Tara informs her practice with Play Therapy modalities, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Family Centered Therapy. She has experience with trauma, mood disorders, attachment disorders, and adjustment disorders working both individually with clients as well as in partnership with the family unit. Additionally, Tara has prior experience in the public school system supporting children in overcoming behavioral hardships.
