Works with ages 15-70
Hi there! My name is Yalonda Hines. I graduated from East Carolina University with my BSW in 2016 and Fayetteville State University with my MSW in 2022. I obtained my Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA) in 2022 and transitioned to full licensure (LCSW) in 2025. In total, I have over 13 years of experience working with adults. This includes experience in the medical field. I also have recent experience working with the teen population (15+) in the mental health field. I have worked in a variety of social work settings over the past 8 years, such as in public welfare, community mental health, hospitals, and private practice.
I find myself to be passionate about working with individuals who are navigating life transitions, emotional struggles, identity development, and more. I also provide support to individuals who may feel overwhelmed by anxiety, past trauma, depression, or difficulty regulating emotions. I love working with individuals who carry a deep desire for change, healing, and self-awareness. I currently utilize a variety of therapy approaches including Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Dialectical Behavior (DBT), Intervention, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Person-Centered Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Strengths-Based Therapy. As a therapist, my goal is to meet individuals where they are by honoring their unique stories while helping them move toward the life they envision.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family (I have 2 children and a dog), traveling, trying new food spots, and exploring nature trails.
I look forward to working with you!
