Caroline A. Hall (she/her), MS, LCMHCA, NCC
Outpatient Psychotherapist in South Durham
Works with ages 16+
Hello and welcome! My name is Caroline Hall (she/her/hers) and I am an Outpatient Psychotherapist at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness in South Durham. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (#A19110) and National Certified Counselor (#1726303). I completed both my undergraduate degree in Psychology and my Master’s in Clinical Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Before beginning my practice as a therapist, I was a board certified psychometrician at a brain and memory clinic for several years.
Within the therapeutic space, I strive to maintain safety (in all things), warmth, and trust. Empathy, compassion, validation, and authenticity are my primary goals while working together. Incorporating these values in a holistic manner allows us the opportunity to explore, dive deeper, and ask the critical questions.
My approach as a therapist is rooted in the notion that you are the expert on your own life and that our work should suit your unique needs and goals in the therapeutic space. I remain flexible and open for this reason, incorporating a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Person-Centered Therapy (PCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). I also incorporate mindful, feminist, and trauma-informed points of view into my work with clients. Our relationship is of the utmost importance to me as a clinician, and I will consistently encourage you to exercise courage and provide feedback to me regarding the quality and content of our sessions, as I will be doing the same.
I enjoy working with individuals aged 16 and up who are experiencing anxiety/panic, stress, coping with and/or healing from trauma, difficulties adjusting to life changes or circumstances, and relationship concerns and dynamic issues of all types (whether that be with a partner, family, friends, etc.). I am also particularly passionate about working with clients in the LGBTQIA+ and queer communities. Being a provider in this field and getting to learn about your story is an honor and a privilege, and I am committed to continuing my own education to promote my own growth as well as yours.
Outside of the office, I enjoy going on hikes, cuddling with my kitties, Willow and Griffin, and spending time with my partner, friends, and family. I love any chance to laugh loudly, read psychological thrillers, and be in and around water.
I am so excited to work alongside you and meet you where you are!
All parts of you are welcome here.
