Defense Against Doomscrolling

An adult therapy group for reducing screen time and reclaiming attention.

If you've struggled to put down your phone and engage with the world, you're far from alone! In this 10-week group, participants will:

-Build awareness of their habitual actions, thoughts, and emotions

-Decide if, how, and why they want to change

-Practice alternative behaviors that bring them closer to their own values

-Experiment with phone-free ways to explore their surroundings, connect with others, and empower themselves

-Support one another in a safe and structured therapeutic environment

This group will support a wide variety of changes, from becoming more intentional with screen time to deeply reclaiming attention. Group activities are based in mindfulness practice, the science of habit-formation, and therapeutic interventions to reduce unwanted repetitive, unconscious, or 'background' behaviors.
