Julia (she/her) is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate (#A181712) and Art Therapist (#19-469) at Three Oaks Behavioral Health & Wellness. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Art Therapy and Counseling from Southwestern College in New Mexico.

Julia’s counseling philosophy is person-centered and humanistic. In treatment, she combines wellness techniques, strengths-based counseling, and art therapy, utilizing Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Her primary goal is to cultivate a therapeutic environment characterized by authenticity, non-judgment, and empowerment.

Julia specializes in Client Centered Theory and focuses on challenging perfection, distress tolerance, and emotional regulation. Her extensive knowledge in art therapy helps her assist clients as they examine the effect of trauma in their own lives, focusing on building resilience to achieve their therapeutic goals. She has clinical experience at all levels of care (inpatient, residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient)—providing individual and art therapy to both adolescents and adults.
