Malaak is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate and an Outpatient Psychotherapist at Three Oaks! Malaak earned her Bachelor of Social Work with a minor in Psychology and her Master of Social Work from North Carolina State University. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults dealing with chronic illnesses, suicidal ideation, psychosis, and substance use disorders.

Malaak is deeply passionate about understanding and connecting with her clients' thoughts, behaviors, and emotions through a therapeutic approach. Her practice is built on empathy and a client-centered perspective, aiming to create a safe and non-judgmental environment where clients can openly explore their concerns.

Malaak utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness. She is committed to helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, emotional regulation challenges, school-related difficulties, interpersonal issues, and boundary-setting. By employing these evidence-based practices, Malaak strives to empower her clients to achieve a more balanced and fulfilling life.

Malaak’s approach emphasizes collaboration and validation, ensuring that each client feels supported and understood throughout their therapeutic journey. She believes in the transformative power of therapy and works diligently to help her clients develop resilience and coping skills.

In her free time, Malaak enjoys exercising, exploring the outdoors, trying out new recipes, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
