Leah is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C010333) and Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor-Qualified Supervisor (QS-130259). In addition to serving as an Outpatient Psychotherapist, she oversees the clinical operations of the team, providing clinical leadership, consultation and support. She is also the Clinical Supervisor and administers supervision to all provisionally licensed therapists. Leah received her undergraduate degree in Mass Communications from Bennett College for Women in Greensboro, NC and her graduate degree in Social Work from Savannah State University in Savannah, GA.

Leah has many years of experience working in residential, outpatient and inpatient settings with the singular goal of helping people become their best selves. Leah has a passion for empowering people to live their best lives on their terms. Leah is Intensively-Trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and is trained to provide Prolonged Exposure Treatment in conjunction with DBT to help those suffering from varying forms of trauma. She is also trained in Somatic and Attachment Focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (SAFE EMDR) She works with other evidenced based practice models such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). She is especially passionate about supporting those who have experienced racial trauma and social inequities. Leah believes in meeting you exactly where you are.

Leah’s philosophy of treatment is that everything you experience has value; it’s how you deal with the experience that develops your resiliency. She believes that change is transformative and it is a possibility for each and every one of us to love who we are, while- at the same time- work on being the best of which we are.

In her free time, Leah bakes, crafts & loves to spend time with her family which includes her 4 dogs; a Holland Lop Bunny named Karat and a  Hairless Kitty named Phoenix. She loves a good hallmark movie and is most happy when she is cleaning or organizing something.

Leah is LGBTQIA+ affirming and works with teens and adults. She has evening and Saturday availability.
